Coble statement on the death of Rich Brenner

(Washington, D.C.)----U.S. Rep. Howard Coble (R-NC) issued the following statement following the death of longtime WGHP Fox 8 sports anchor Rich Brenner. Congressman Coble issued the statement from his Washington, D.C., office:
"I was saddened to learn of the passing of my good friend, Rich Brenner. Rich was a great television journalist because he was authentic. If Rich reported it, you knew it was reliable and accurate. Because of Rich’s involvement in so many charitable organizations, his loss will be felt by our entire community.
"I fondly recall the many times we were together – at political rallies, church services or charitable programs – Rich was always willing to lend a hand if it helped someone else. Rich will be sorely missed. On behalf of the citizens of the Sixth District of North Carolina, I extend my condolences to family of Rich Brenner, along with his numerous friends and fans. I count myself among those who will miss him very much."
